In this role, you’ll create and execute our social media strategy across various platforms. You'll be an instrumental piece to growing our brand and business.

The Role

As our Social Media Manager, you’ll be in charge of our social media reach, impact and ROI using proven social media strategies. You’ll collaborate directly with our CEO, Jill Coleman to devise, develop and execute a social media strategy to help grow the brand. You’ll utilize creative storytelling, fun and engaging contests, Messenger bots, and more to create an engaging experience for our current students and future customers. 

Our specific goal at JillFit right now is specifically Instagram GROWTH (we have high trust with our current followers, and they invest with us, but we’ve reached a ceiling in terms of growth), and perhaps TikTok and/or YouTube in the future–but not immediately.

Experience leveraging Social Media, utilizing Messenger bots to drive leads and sales, and developing and executing a social media strategy is required for this role. You’ll also brainstorm, develop and write engaging, vulnerable and emotional social media content using Jill’s voice that is meant to spark meaningful conversations for our students.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll directly impact our brand, business, and culture. 

Responsibilities

  • Create, implement, and document a social media strategy to elevate the brand and expand brand awareness across Instagram, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. 
  • Establish clear social media goals across all organic marketing platforms and regularly track and analyze performance against KPIs. 
  • Leverage insights to identify opportunities to improve.
  • Successfully manage, strategize, and program our company’s social media channels in a way that serves both our audience as well as our marketing efforts.
  • Design and execute social campaigns in alignment with the marketing calendar.
  • Stay up to date on social media trends and tools in order to build brand presence.
  • Monitor and evaluate social platforms with regular reporting, tracking, and analytics related to social content. You should be able to laser in on what worked best and what didn’t so you can report suggested improvements or issues to the proper channels in a timely manner.
  • Manage social comments and messages for insight and engagement, escalating questions or issues as appropriate.
  • Content Creation: willingness and ability to create content and/or manage content curations (video editors, graphic designers, etc.)
  • Community Engagement: Building and nurturing relationships with our online community by actively participating in conversations, responding to comments and messages, and fostering a sense of community around our brand.
  • Coordinate with other members of our team. 

SkillS & Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience managing social media channels.
  • Experience in community management with a strong understanding of how to build content, follower growth, and engagement.
  • A strong understanding of how to bring campaigns to life via storytelling, while creating an engaged community
  • Self-directed: can work independently + comes to the table with ideas and strategy to pitch executive team
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbally. Direct response copywriting experience is not required, but it’s a HUGE plus.
  • Ability to manage others + projects 
  • Willing to experiment and track results. 
  • A proven track record of success in the social space and the respect of your colleagues.
  • Previous experience with online educational businesses a plus.
